With about 1,600 to 1,800 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 17:1, the school has a typical classroom setting for a mid-sized high school. The school has a full academic program that includes college-preparatory courses, Advanced Placement (AP) classes, career and technical education (CTE) pathways, fine arts, and sports. The school puts a lot of emphasis on preparing students for college, getting them ready for a career, and helping them grow as people. The student body is diverse, just like the people who live in Wilmington and the surrounding areas. About 40% of students are good at math, and about 72% are good at reading (ELA). This shows that they are good at reading but could use some help with math. It is a public school, so it gets money from the state and local governments.
