About Crossroads FLEX

Crossroads FLEX is a public alternative high school in Cary, North Carolina. It is part of the Wake County Public School System and serves students in grades 9–12. The school focuses on giving students who learn best in nontraditional ways, need to make up missed work, or have their own academic plans a flexible and personalized learning environment. The school has a small number of students and a low student-to-teacher ratio, which makes it possible for teachers to give each student individual attention and help them with their schoolwork. Crossroads FLEX focuses on core academics, credit recovery, career readiness, and college preparation. The students come from a wide range of backgrounds, just like the rest of Cary. About 50% of students are good at math and about 93% are good at reading (ELA). This shows that they are good at both subjects and doing well in school. Crossroads FLEX is a public school, so it gets money from the state and local governments. Depending on their academic plan, students can take college-readiness tests like the SAT and ACT.
