Southaven is a major gateway to the Mid-South, with a population of almost 57,000. It is just south of the Tennessee border and has a suburban feel, but it is easy to get to city amenities. The city is in a big, well-performing district with many good public and private high schools. Getting students to take Advanced Placement (AP) classes and making a commitment to diversity are two of the most important things to do. Because they do well in core subjects, schools in the area are often ranked as some of the best in the Memphis metro area. Families want to live in the city because it has new infrastructure, low crime rates, and schools that put safety and getting ready for college first.
