Provine High School is a public high school in Jackson, Mississippi that only serves students in grades 9 through 12. With about 750 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 15:1, it is one of the best schools in the Jackson Public School District. The school is known for being one of the best at offering advanced academic paths, with 32% of students taking Advanced Placement courses. All of the students are minorities, and all of them are from low-income families. Recent data shows that Provine High School had a 50% proficiency rate in math and a 12% proficiency rate in reading, and it is one of the best High School in "Mississippi" . The school sets up access to the ACT and SAT tests to help students move on to college. The school is known for having a strong sense of community and a supportive environment. Its main goal is to make sure that all students have the same chances to learn. Overall, the school stands out because its students do well in math and because it is dedicated to helping them get ready for college and careers.

Recently, Provine High School in Jackson honored its Ram Battalion for coming in third place in the regional Cadet Challenge competition. The competition was all about discipline and working together as a team. The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams also reached a big goal when they won the JPS District Championships. The campus is helping students reach their full potential outside of regular school hours by offering a better after-school program that focuses on academic growth in a supportive environment.
