The Gulfport Rising project is a multi-phase campus expansion project that includes building a new football stadium on campus and more parking. Gulfport High School has officially started it. The school's specialized Waterworks Academy is also doing well; its first class of seniors is getting ready for national licensing tests in environmental management. The campus celebrated a big academic honor when senior Jackson Pearce was named a 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholar for his outstanding leadership and scholarship.
