Independence, Missouri, is a historic city that have a population of around 122,000, it is just east of Kansas City and has a lot of pioneer history and suburban comfort. It is a great place to live if you want to be part of a community. The systems stress doing well in school, getting ready for a job, and having a lot of extracurricular activities, like fine arts and competitive sports.
