Being Updated
Sterling Heights Senior High School just started the "Attendance Matters" campaign, which encourages students to come to school every day and gives them prizes and a traveling trophy. The school also added "Rooms" to the district app, which makes it easy for parents and teachers to talk to each other and get updates on what's going on in the classroom. The Life Skills Transition class also opened the Warrior Café in the SHS commons concession area, giving students a convenient place to eat.
Q1. Are there college-level classes at Sterling Heights Senior High?
Ans. Yes, students can earn college credit while still in high school by taking AP classes or enrolling in two schools at once.
Q2. Do students have access to the SAT and ACT?
Ans. The school helps students apply to college by letting them take the SAT and ACT.
Q3. Are there activities outside of class at the school?
Ans. Students can join clubs, arts, music, and academic teams to learn more about things that interest them.
Q4. Is there a focus on getting ready for a job?
Ans. Career and technical education programs teach students skills that will help them get jobs in the future.
Q5. Are there programs for health and support?
Ans. To help students stay balanced, there are counseling, peer support groups, and wellness programs.
