The University of Michigan Jazz Combo Festival was recently won by Community High School's jazz combo "Supernova." Jacob Johnson, who plays the alto saxophone, came in second for "Most Outstanding Soloist." The National Scholastic Press Association gave The Communicator, the school's newspaper, four national awards. Also, Community High's ASL 3/4 students and Skyline choir students did a great job at the University of Michigan basketball game by signing and singing the National Anthem.
