The school serves about 1,000 students in grades 9 through 12 and has a student-to-teacher ratio of about 13:1. It is known as one of the best schools because it has been around for a long time and offers a wide range of educational opportunities, from fine arts to technical training at the regional vocational center. There are 21% minorities on campus, and 29% of the students are considered to be economically disadvantaged. The data on academic performance shows that 50% of students are good at reading and 30% are good at math, and it is one of the best high school in Maine. Students are encouraged to take the SAT and ACT tests to help them get into college. The school gets a new, state-of-the-art building that makes the learning environment better, and it costs about $14,500 per student. Edward Little High School is one of the best schools because it encourages students to get involved in their communities and prepares them for both college and the workforce.

Edward Little High School keeps getting the most out of its state-of-the-art campus facilities, which include updated science labs and collaborative learning commons that are great for project-based learning. The school recently held a successful career fair where students talked to more than fifty local businesses about getting summer internships and vocational training. In addition, several student-athletes at the "Eddies" recently won individual state titles in wrestling and indoor track. This shows how dedicated the school is to both athletics and physical health.
