Silver Spring, Maryland, is a bustling city-suburb in Montgomery County, home to approximately 83,000 residents. There are a lot of different cultures and a lot of art going on there. It is just north of Washington, D.C. Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) do a great job serving the area. The district puts a lot of emphasis on doing well in school, being a good global citizen, and doing a lot of activities outside of school. Families will love living in the city because many schools, like St. Bernadette School, have won National Blue Ribbon awards in the past.
