Silver Spring, Maryland, is a bustling city-suburb in Montgomery County, home to approximately 83,000 residents. There are a lot of different cultures and a lot of art going on there. It is just north of Washington, D.C. Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) do a great job serving the area. The district puts a lot of emphasis on doing well in school, being a good global citizen, and doing a lot of activities outside of school. Families will love living in the city because many schools, like St. Bernadette School, have won National Blue Ribbon awards in the past. Students have unique opportunities to grow intellectually and professionally because the school is dedicated to providing high-quality, inclusive education and is near federal research centers.
