The Helix Mentorship STEAM Academy has started a special "Freshman Academy" for the 2025-2026 school year. Its goal is to help ninth-grade students build a strong academic and social foundation as they move up to high school. The school has also made student services more efficient by creating a new digital transcript request process and a new, easy-to-use website to better share student achievements with their families. The academy is also expanding its focus on maritime and mentorship by providing project-based learning environments that give students the real-world skills they need to do well in college and in their careers.
