Macon, Georgia, is a city with a lot of history. It is in Bibb County and has about 155,000 people living there. Macon is a great place to visit because it has a great music history, some really old buildings to see, and that classic Southern feel. You get the best of both worlds here: the conveniences of a city and a real sense of community where people look out for each other. The schools in the city are run by the Bibb County School District. They run a lot of public elementary schools, and these schools are known for being very focused on academics, the arts, and helping kids grow. Families can also choose to send their kids to private schools.
