Clarke County Athens, Georgia is a very busy college town with about 127,000 people living there. Athens is a great place to live because it has the feel of a small city and the energy of a college town. There are some beautiful old buildings and a lot of music and art going on. The Clarke County School District is in charge of the city schools and runs a few very good public elementary schools. These schools focus on academics, the arts, and making sure that everyone feels welcome while they learn. Private schools also offer a wide range of educational choices.
