Milford is a beautiful city with about 12,000 people that is split between two counties. It is famous for its historic downtown and artistic community. There is one public high school in the area and several private high schools that focus on preparing students for careers and personalized learning. The community economic needs are very different, as shown by the strong programs in agriscience, health care, and the trades. People have praised the district for its creative "blended learning" models and the fact that many students are involved in activities outside of school. Milford is great for families because life moves slowly. The school system provides small classes and community support to help every high school student.
