Being Updated
Through the Paxton Nursing Unit, George and Evelyn Stein Continuation High School is improving its hands-on vocational programs. Students learn practical skills like suturing and phlebotomy to get ready for jobs in healthcare. The campus has also seen students do well in STEAM projects that are more specific. For example, they recently finished an engineering project in which they built and improved working cardboard rovers based on Jet Propulsion Laboratory specifications. The school also continues to celebrate individual success. Recently, they honored barbering students who made it into the 300+ Hours Club and officially put on their professional black smocks.
