In February 2026, Middle College High School won the top overall team award at the 45th Annual San Joaquin County Academic Decathlon. This was the school's fifth straight win. The team is now going to the state championship. Several students won individual awards and scholarships in areas like art, economics, and math. The Class of 2025 also made history by having 98 percent of its graduates earn an Associate of Arts degree along with their high school diploma.
