Leland High School has recently improved its campus by adding advanced interactive technology to the science department to help with high-level research and data analysis. The Speech and Debate team from the school keeps doing well in regional tournaments, and they have been invited to several important state-level competitions. A new peer-mentoring program has also been set up to help new students adjust to the school's tough Advanced Placement and honors classes.
