Leigh High School is one of the best schools in San Jose, California, for students in grades 9 through 12. It is one of the best campuses in the Campbell Union High School District, with about 1,800 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of 22:1. The school is known for being one of the best when it comes to academics. It has a large Advanced Placement program that 74% of students take part in. The student body is diverse, with 59% of students being minorities and 19% being economically disadvantaged. Leigh High School has great academic results, with 77% of students being able to read and 69% being able to do math. The school is in a desirable area where the median home price is over $1.8 million. It has a good reputation for having a lively campus culture and strong community support. Leigh High School is celebrating the full use of its newly renovated performing arts spaces, which now have professional-grade sound for the award-winning Longhorn marching band and drama productions. The school's Robotics Team 604 is almost done building for the spring competition season. They are using the STEM labs on campus that have been updated. Also, this month the College and Career Center is holding a series of mock interviews to help seniors get ready for professional internships and scholarship applications.
