Students in grades 9 through 12 go to KIPP San Jose Collegiate, which is known as one of the best schools in San Jose, California. It is the only high school in its district and one of the best public charter schools. It has about 500 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 23:1. The school is known for having a very strict academic culture, and 89% of students take Advanced Placement classes, which is very impressive. The student body is very diverse, with all of its students being minorities and 72% of them being economically disadvantaged. KIPP San Jose Collegiate has good performance data, with 68% of students being good at reading and 53% being good at math. The school is in a neighborhood where the average home price is about $1.1 million, which is in line with the regional market. It creates a supportive environment for students who want to go to college. Overall, the school does a great job of making sure that all of its students have equal access to higher education, and it is one of the best high school in California.

KIPP San Jose Collegiate is celebrating the success of its Senior Capstone program, in which students do independent research projects and present them to a panel of professionals from the community. The school recently improved its Advanced Placement (AP) program by adding new courses in environmental science and computer science principles. This gives students more ways to earn college credit. Also, the campus is currently hosting a series of Alumni Speaker panels, which bring back former students to help current students make the switch to four-year colleges.
