Mt. Carmel High School is now officially a 2026 Kindness Certified School. This is because it took part in the annual Great Kindness Challenge and is committed to making the campus a friendly place to be. The school is currently improving its college-bound culture by holding Joint Community College Nights and special workshops to help 11th and 12th-graders get ready for college and the SAT/ACT. The performing arts department is also getting ready for its 2026 spring production of "Mamma Mia," which will show off the school's many talented technical theater and musical performers. Mt. Carmel High hosted events like MCs Got Talent and Prom 2026, reflecting strong engagement. It ranks in California's top 20% schools, is a top San Diego school, and holds Blue Ribbon and Distinguished school honors.
