About e3 Civic High

e3 Civic High is a new public charter school in downtown San Diego that serves students in grades 9–12. Located in the San Diego Central Library, this school is known as one of the best for civic engagement. It offers a unique urban learning environment. The school serves a wide range of students, with 98% of them being minorities and 74% of them coming from low-income families. e3 Civic High is known as one of the best schools because it uses project-based learning and has a 70% Advanced Placement participation rate. The curriculum leads to 37% of students being good at reading and 7% being good at math. The school makes it easy for students to take the SAT and ACT so they are ready for life after graduation. e3 Civic High just started its 2025–2026 workforce development program, which connects students with professionals in downtown San Diego for high-level internships. The program is based in the cutting-edge San Diego Central Library. The school has added more biomedical and engineering labs, giving students access to new, industry-standard tools for research and prototyping. The campus is also starting a new College and Career Bridge program that helps students earn college credit early by taking advantage of its unique urban learning environment.
