Students in grades 6 through 12 can attend Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, a top public charter school in Rocklin, California. It is one of the best schools in its district because it has a strict college-preparatory mission. There are about 750 students at the academy, and there is one teacher for every 19 students. It has a high Advanced Placement participation rate of 89%, which encourages students to do well in high-level classes. Demographics show that 59% of students are minorities, and 14% of them are economically disadvantaged. The students do very well in school, with 92% of them being good at reading and 63% being good at math. This is made possible by well-organized SAT and ACT testing opportunities. The school environment is intellectually lively, with about $9,800 in funding for each student. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy is one of the best schools for preparing students for the challenges of higher education. It is in an area where the median home price is $680,000, and it is one of the best high schools in California.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy is now officially a 2026 California Distinguished School. This honor recognizes its great teaching and high academic achievement. In April 2026, the school community will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Rocklin Academy Family of Schools with a special "Founder's Day at the Park" event. This season, students are also showing off their many talents by competing in the Academic Decathlon and the Disneyland Choir Competition, which is coming up soon.
