El Camino Real Continuation High School was recently named a 2025 Model Continuation High School. This is a very high honor that only 74 schools in California have received for their excellent work in alternative education. People know the school for its all-around approach to student health. For instance, the EDGE intervention period includes getting help with schoolwork, learning about social and emotional issues, and getting ready for college. The Class of 2025 was also very strong, with more than 60 students graduating early and many others finishing specialized Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
Q1. What kind of learning space does El Camino Real Continuation High have?
Ans. The school has small class sizes and individualized instruction, which makes learning more flexible and supportive.
Q2. Is it possible for students to get back or earn credits?
Ans. Yes, students can take electives or credit recovery classes to move forward in their studies.
Q3. Are there activities outside of school?
Ans. There are not many extracurricular activities available, but there are student leadership programs, community service projects, and clubs.
Q4. Does El Camino Real Continuation High offer help with schoolwork or counseling?
Ans. Yes, the school has services for academic counseling, college guidance, and help with social and emotional issues.
Q5. Are students allowed to take tests to get into college, like the SAT?
Ans. Yes, students at El Camino Real Continuation High can take the SAT and other tests that are required for college admission.
