Palmdale is a city in the high desert of Los Angeles County with 166,000 people. It is growing. It has a strong family feel and a long history in the aerospace industry. Families have many choices for their kids because there are about 45 public schools and 9 private schools. In this area, high schools really focus on STEM and preparing students for careers, especially in engineering and medicine. Some schools in the area have gotten high Niche grades, which means they are excellent places to get an education.
