El Modena High School one of the Best High Schools for the 2025–2026 school year. This is the sixth year in a row that the school has received this honor for its academic performance and college readiness. As of early 2025, the campus is in the middle of a Phase 3 modernization project. This includes major upgrades to the electrical and HVAC systems, as well as seismic improvements to make sure the learning environment is up to date.
