East Bay Innovation Academy has said that they will work with Envision Education to open "Oakland's Hands On Science High School" in Downtown Oakland in August 2026. The College Board recently gave the academy an award for how well its female students did in the AP Computer Science program. Students are also taking part in advanced STEAM projects, like a one-of-a-kind Science Olympiad program where they build their own robots and launch rockets with great accuracy as part of their project-based curriculum.
