Students at Castlemont High School are working on urban design plans to turn the Coliseum site into a sustainable community center. They are doing this as part of a mission to improve the area. The school just finished a $11.3 million renovation of its sports facilities. This included a new eight-lane all-weather track, a new football and soccer field, and new bleachers for the community. The school is also expanding its Sustainable Urban Design and Community Health Equity academies, which give students the chance to learn by doing through the "CastleWorks" program.
