As part of its Black is Lit program, Aspire Langston Hughes Academy recently started the "Lit Leadership Academy." This program is meant to help its students become better readers and leaders. For the 2025–2026 school year, the academy is also offering a wide range of new after-school programs, such as Driver's Ed, Health Careers Exploration, and a professional drumline. The school also successfully hosted the "Day About Your Business" Youth Conference, a free career day where students learned by doing with professionals from the local business community.
