Manteca is a busy place in California Central Valley, with about 90,000 people living there. It is often called the "Family City." It is a good place to live in the suburbs because it is between the Bay Area and Sacramento, where farming and community values are important. The city has a strong public school district with five big high schools. There are also private and charter schools that only teach certain subjects. The local school system puts a lot of weight on doing well in school, getting vocational training, and taking part in a lot of extracurricular activities, like strong sports and agricultural programs.
