This school has about 2,200 students. About one teacher for every 24 students, which is pretty normal for a classroom. If you need a little extra help, they also offer academic support services. At Poly High, you can take AP, honors, and cool electives in science, art, and even history to get ready for college. The school also really pushes kids to get involved outside of class, like in sports, robotics, music, and the performing arts. A Long Beach Poly High School student was hurt in a shooting that happened off-campus early Thursday morning. This led to more police presence on campus while they continue to investigate. The injury is not life-threatening, and classes went on as usual while officials stressed the importance of campus safety and student support.
