See top schools in Long BeachJordan High School is a public high school in Long Beach, California, that is part of the Long Beach Unified School District. It serves students in grades 9–12. The school has a lot of students and a student-teacher ratio that is about average for the district. Jordan High has core academic classes, electives, and extracurricular activities like sports and clubs. There are a lot of different ethnic groups among the students, and most of them are minorities. The student's academic performance shows that they are 7% proficient in math and 29% proficient in reading (ELA). This means that they are having a lot of trouble with standardized tests compared to the state average. The school focuses on credit recovery, intervention programs, and academic support services to help students meet the requirements for graduation. Students can also take standardized tests like the SAT and college readiness programs, but overall academic results show that they need more help with their schoolwork. Jordan High's main goal is to give all students equal access to education and help them do better in core subjects.
