Independence Continuation High School is currently focusing on student leadership and civic engagement through its participation in High School Voter Education Weeks, which promote lifelong active citizenship. The school also keeps the academic environment flexible. For example, it just finished its five-week grading period in February 2026 to help students keep track of how close they are to graduating.
