Recently, La Puente High School was named a 2024 California Democracy School for its dedication to high-quality civic learning and student leadership through programs like the Army JROTC and the Public Safety Academy. The campus has undergone a lot of physical changes. More than 50 classrooms have been painted and had new floors put in to make them more modern for the 2024–25 and 2025–26 school years. Also, four of its seniors recently reached a big goal by getting the prestigious QuestBridge Scholarship, which gives them full-ride chances to go to some of the best colleges.
