Sunnyside High School just opened a $7.3 million Health Sciences building with the latest technology. It has specialized performance labs and four modern classrooms for its medical career pathway. The school has also grown its HBCU Step-Up program, a partnership with Fort Valley State University that lets students earn up to 13 college credits that can be transferred online. The agricultural department is also growing a lot. Recently, students won awards for their agricultural mechanics projects and took part in regional livestock competitions.
