Desert Oasis High School recently hosted the innovative Sim 4 STEM Racing Program, the first of its kind in Southern California. This program lets students use advanced math and science ideas in high-speed motorsports simulations. The California Department of Education still calls the school a Model Continuation High School. This is because the school is dedicated to providing specialized teaching methods and a supportive campus culture. Also, students are getting more English Learner pathways and new scholarship opportunities through local foundations.
