The school has about 2,000 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 24:1. It offers structured classroom instruction as well as academic support services. Savanna High School has a college-prep curriculum that includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses, honors classes, and a wide range of electives in the arts, STEM, and humanities. Students can also take part in sports, the arts, and clubs outside of school, which helps them grow as a whole person. The students come from a wide range of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, just like the rest of the Anaheim community. A fight near Savanna High School on December 2 led to the arrest of a student who stabbed another student. The campus was briefly put on lockdown while Anaheim police responded. The injured student's wounds were not life-threatening, and the police are still looking into what happened.
