The school has about 2,000 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 24:1. It offers structured classroom instruction as well as academic support services. Savanna High School has a college-prep curriculum that includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses, honors classes, and a wide range of electives in the arts, STEM, and humanities. Students can also take part in sports, the arts, and clubs outside of school, which helps them grow as a whole person. The students come from a wide range of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, just like the rest of the Anaheim community. The academic performance shows that 14% of students are good at math and 46% are good at reading (ELA). This means that literacy outcomes are better than math outcomes. The school offers tutoring, intervention programs, and SAT and ACT prep to help students get better at what they do and get ready for college.

A fight near Savanna High School on December 2 led to the arrest of a student who stabbed another student. The campus was briefly put on lockdown while Anaheim police responded. The injured student's wounds were not life-threatening, and the police are still looking into what happened.
