Alameda High is a well-known public school in the Alameda Unified School District that serves about 1,800 students in grades 9 through 12. It is known as one of the best schools in the area and offers a full curriculum. 59% of students take Advanced Placement courses and tests. The student body is very diverse: 70% of students are minorities and 33% of students are from low-income families. Alameda High is one of the best schools for academics, with an 80% proficiency rate in Reading and a 52% proficiency rate in Math. Students can also take college readiness tests like the SAT and ACT. The school is in a community known for its historic charm and good reputation. It has a good mix of tough academics and an active campus life. It is one of the best schools in the country because it can prepare a wide range of students for success in college and in their careers, and it is one of the best high schools in California.

Alameda High School is currently undergoing major renovations to its campus, such as restoring old classrooms and installing cutting-edge technology to support 21st-century learning. The school recently celebrated the success of its performing arts department. The Drama and Music programs are getting ready for big spring showcase events that will show off the students' creativity. Also, this March the campus will hold special SAT testing days and university outreach sessions to give all juniors and seniors direct access to important college-readiness resources.
