Northside High School is getting ready for a big event in the area. Its arena has been chosen to host the Great American Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships in 2026. The school is also putting in place a new 75-hour community service requirement for graduation. This is a proactive step to combine academic learning with civic engagement for the class of 2027 and beyond. Also, Northside students keep doing well in the arts and sports. The band recently got a Division I rating, and the winter sports programs have won many awards.
