Being Updated
For the 2025–2026 school year, Wasilla High School will offer more specialized programs. The Fire Science program is one of these. It lets students work with the Central Mat-Su Fire Department and earn up to 12 college credits. The school has also added new clubs and activities outside of school, like a LEGO Engineering club and a Clay Target Team, so that students have more choices for their technical and outdoor interests. The GoGuardian Parent program is also good for kids.
Q1. Do students at Wasilla High School have to take the SAT and ACT?
Ans. Wasilla High School is a major testing center where students can take the SAT and ACT on a regular basis to help them choose the right path after high school.
Q2. What kinds of Advanced Placement (AP) classes can students take?
Ans. High school students can choose from a wide range of AP subjects, which lets them earn college credit while learning about advanced topics.
Q3. How does the school help the arts, both performing and visual?
Ans. The school has a great arts department where students can join the award-winning marching band, choir, and digital media production.
Q4. What sports can students at school play?
Ans. Students at school play a lot of varsity sports and use a lot of athletic facilities that help them stay healthy and get along with their teammates.
Q5. What do school kids do to help their communities?
Ans. Students at school lead local projects that help the Mat-Su Valley community through different student government programs and service clubs.
