Lathrop High School was recently named an Alaska Purple Star School. This is a big honor that shows how much the school cares about helping military-connected students and their families through special transition programs. The school is getting ready for the 2026 graduation ceremony, which will be held on May 12 at the Carlson Center. This is a big deal for the seniors. Also, the Malamute athletics program is still strong this season. The hockey and basketball teams have both stayed competitive in their conference standings through the first few months of 2026.
