About Trantwood Elementary School

Trantwood Elementary School is a community-centered campus and one of the premier public Elementary Schools in Virginia. Originally opened in 1963 and subsequently revitalized with modern components such as a media center, art and music rooms, and renovated learning areas, Trantwood combines twenty-first century learning with tradition. Currently serving just under 500 students, Pre-K through 5th grade, Trantwood consistently demonstrates above average proficiency rates in both reading and mathematics .
