Being Updated
Recently, volunteers from the community put on a great event at the school where they gave away shoes. A lot of kids left with new shoes and felt good about themselves. The smiles and excitement showed how a small gift can make a big difference that lasts.
That's not all, though. The district has also added Laura B. Anderson to a growing after-school and summer-meal program to help students and their families outside of school hours. This means that kids can eat healthy meals during breaks and do fun things after school. It also gives them a safe and caring place to be while their parents are at work or running errands.
