Imagine a place where curiosity is the focus – this is Malcolm C. Hursey Montessori School in North Charleston, South Carolina. Ranked #21 out of Charleston County School District Elementary Schools and one of the leading elementary schools in South Carolina, Hursey Montessori serves PK-8 and has a student population of 424. It provides an environment where hands-on learning creates opportunities to think critically and creatively at every turn.

In November 2024, second grader Joshua Flovin from Malcolm C. Hursey Montessori School in North Charleston raised $400 as he participated in a triathlon to provide supplies for a sensory room, which provides calming tools for students with sensory processing difficulties at the school.
