Being Updated
As per the latest news about Northridge Elementary School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Northridge Elementary announced that in November 2025 that they are going to host the fourth annual "Native American Family Night" and it will be scheduled on Thursday, November 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. The district's Native American Student Services Department is in charge of the event, which is open to all families in the school community. The goal of the evening is to celebrate and support Indigenous culture, show off student accomplishments, and help students, families, and school staff get to know each other better. The district is working to make programming more inclusive as part of a larger effort. This comes after the recent passage of a $198.75 million innovation bond that will help pay for facility upgrades and investments that focus on equity across the district. Northridge is still working to get its diverse student body involved and strengthen ties with families by putting on this cultural-family-engagement event. Even though proficiency rates are still a big deal, this kind of outreach could help get more people involved in the community and with students in the future.
