Latest News

As per the latest report, Mustang Valley Elementary School is ranked #34 among Oklahoma elementary schools, reflecting strong performance on state-required tests and student preparation for high school. Mustang Public Schools has news that the district is facing a budget shortfall of about $470,000 for the 2025–2026 school year because federal funding has been frozen. These funds were meant to help with programs that help teachers, English learners, technology, and getting families involved. To make things even harder, the Oklahoma State Department of Education now requires all districts to give every student free meals. This will cost Mustang at least $5.1 million a year, which is a lot of money. On a more positive note, the district has added five new school buses, which were paid for by a bond that voters approved. This makes it safer and more reliable for students to get to and from school. The school board has also recently approved a general obligation bond of US$4 million to pay for more projects in the district. Overall, Mustang Valley Elementary sits in a well-regarded district—it’s academically competitive, but the school community is now navigating financial pressures and expanded student support responsibilities.
