The Davidson Academy of Nevada is a public school for students in grades 5 through 12. It is on the Reno campus of the University of Nevada. It is only for intelligent students and has a fast-paced, ability-based curriculum. Students can also take college classes at the same time. With about 170 students and a student-teacher ratio of about 14:1, the school can offer more personalized learning environments. About 72% of the students are from minority groups, and a lot of them are Asian. The Davidson Academy focuses on depth, rigor, and letting students work at their own pace in school. This lets them take college-level classes at the University of Nevada. PublicSchoolReview says that at least 95% of the students at the school are good at both math and reading/language arts. The Davidson Academy spends a lot of money on each student, about $21,800. The school is also accredited and has been one of the best gifted education programs for a long time. In short, Davidson Academy of Nevada is a wonderful school for smart, driven students because it gives advanced learners a unique, challenging place to learn. It has small classes, excellent grades, and connections with colleges and universities.
