Mount Rose K-8 School of Languages was recently praised during a statewide visit for its excellent dual-immersion and English Learner programs. In district reports, the school also got attention for continuing to make academic progress. This helped raise the number of high-rated schools overall and strengthened its reputation for being a great place to learn and speak two languages.
Q1. What kinds of language classes does Mount Rose K-8 School of Languages offer?
Ans. The school usually has Spanish language immersion programs and other ways for students to learn to speak two languages by combining lessons from different cultures.
Q2. Does the school have any special programs for students who are very smart or advanced?
Ans. Yes, students who meet the requirements can take advanced classes, participate in enrichment activities, and receive differentiated instruction that is meant to help them learn at a higher level.
Q3. Are there any activities outside of class or after school?
Answer. Mount Rose has a lot of extracurricular activities, such as language clubs, arts activities, student leadership groups, and seasonal academic programs.
Q4. How does the school help kids move from elementary to middle school?
Ans. The K–8 structure lets students stay in a familiar setting, where staff can help them with their schoolwork, their social and emotional needs, and getting ready for more difficult classes.
Q5. Are there buses that Mount Rose students can use?
Ans. Students who meet certain criteria can take the bus to school, but many families also walk or have their parents drop them off.
