J. Marlan Walker International School congratulated the Walker Master Builders for their strong performance at the November 10 qualifier, where they advanced to the State Championship. The team also earned the 1st Place Core Values Award and 2nd Place Robot Performance Award with a high score of 280 points.
Q1. What is the main goal of learning at J. Marlan Walker International School?
Ans. Walker's goal is for students to become critical thinkers and problem solvers who take charge of their own learning through a STEAM curriculum that combines different subjects.
Q2. What does Walker do to promote good behavior and school spirit?
Ans. The Walker Way and the "Houses of Walker" system let students earn points and prizes for following the same rules, making friends, and being a good citizen in all grades.
Q3: How do families find out what's going on at Walker?
Ans. The Weekly Newsletter, the Parent Communication page, and online news and announcements help families stay in touch with each other so they can easily keep up with events, testing windows, and celebrations.
Q4: What kinds of clubs and activities can Walker students join?
Ans. Students can join clubs like Robotics, Master Builders, Piano Club, Recorder Club, and Choir. These clubs give kids a chance to learn about things they are interested in outside of class.
Q5. What does Walker do to keep students safe and help them?
Ans. Tools like the Attendance Report form, Counselor's Corner, Harbor Link, and Health and School Safety resources for families help keep kids safe and healthy.
