Sheila R. Tarr Academy's Elementary School is on West Gilmore Avenue, at number 9400, in northwest Las Vegas. This school has kids from pre-kindergarten all the way up to fifth grade. There are about 766 students here, and for every 19 kids, there's one teacher. For math class, half the students hit the proficient mark or went beyond it. When it came to reading, a bit more, 55% of students got to that level or higher. There are just a few more female students than male students, with 51% being female and 49% being male. The school offers a space where kids learn by asking questions, surrounded by people from all over the world. They really grow their academic and social abilities here while being part of a warm, tight-knit group.
The average home here goes for around $395,300. That tells you it's a solid, popular neighborhood that many families choose, mostly due to the great schools. Parents are really positive about the teachers, saying they genuinely care. They also love how the IB-style global learning works out, and they feel the curriculum just keeps kids challenged and truly engaged. Sheila R. Tarr Academy is doing great with its magnet programs; they have been performing really well. The Tarr Academy of International Studies Elementary School is surely one of Nevada's best elementary schools. This school is the best in Las Vegas.
