Peak Charter Academy

Peak Charter Academy, located in Apex, North Carolina, is a tuition-free public charter school with a strong rating that serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade (K–8) and has approximately 775 students with a 23:1 student-teacher ratio. The school opened in 2017 and is part of the National Heritage Academies school system. The school focuses on college preparation through its curriculum, as well as moral development through its Moral Focus program. Nearly 84% of students are proficient in mathematics and 83% of students meet or exceed expectations in reading. Peak Charter Academy is led by Principal Kacey Gorman, enrolled over 175 students in its opening year, maintains high attendance expectations and encourages strong parental involvement.in its academic, creative, and character development program in modern classrooms with dedicated content area classrooms, specialized learning environments, and play spaces. Peak Charter Academy is ranked 45th in North Carolina Elementary Schools and 9th in North Carolina Middle Schools.

Peak Charter Academy takes one of the top five spots for charter middle schools in the state of North Carolina for 2025.

On November 1, the school will host its Fall Festival with games, food and family activities.

Q1. Do students have regular parent-teacher meetings?

Ans. Yes, students meet with their teachers at least twice a year. They can also meet more if needed.

Ans. We offer orientation, a buddy system, and counseling to help new students get used to the school.

Ans. Some grades have language programs that focus on basic language skills.

Q4. What is your policy about school uniforms?

Ans. Students must wear a uniform. This helps create consistency and boosts school spirit.

Ans. We have a secure entrance to control who enters the school. Visitors must check in, and we also have emergency plans ready.
